Salem police log, Nov. 12-13

The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Monday and Tuesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Monday, Nov. 12

5:49 p.m. Police responded to a report of a possible fight at the skate park on the Mansell Parkway. Upon arrival, the victim told police that another boy was trying to start a fight over comments made to a third party. The victim refused to fight, instead calling the police. Officer spoke to both parents on the phone and told them what took place, then advised the youths and sent them on their way.

7:27 p.m. Police responded to a possible burglary in progress on Chandler Road. Arrived on scene, no issues.

8:48 p.m. Police responded to a dispute on Fillmore Road.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

12:06 a.m. Police responded to the Moose Lodge on Grove Street on a report of a party that was chased. The victim stated that somewhere in the area of Flint Street, he was chased by three white males. He could not provide any further description of them or the vehicle they exited. No actual batteries occurred. Incident was allegedly over a past domestic incident in the area of FW Webb. As of this report, there have been no calls of a domestic in that area. Party was escorted to Peabody.

1:46 a.m. Police responded to a report of a tree on fire in the area of Broad Street. Salem fire responded shortly after and extinguished the small blaze.

11:49 a.m. Police responded to a report of larceny from a business on Washington Street. Reporting party stated that an unknown person entered his business after he closed up and removed $100 cash from the register. He believes one of his ex-employees might still have a key and might have taken the money.

12:01 p.m. Police responded to a burglary to a vacant home on Fort Avenue.

12:10 p.m. Police responded to a report of bottles being thrown over a property line on Meadow Street. In August, a report was made by the reporting party stating that bottles and cans had been thrown over his property from an adjacent home on Canal Street during a party. Residents of Canal Street warned that further incidents would not be tolerated. Based on the history of disturbances, 143 Canal Street has been identified as a disorderly house, and the Community Impact Unit will be taking appropriate actions.

3:14 p.m. Police removed a hypodermic needle from Loring Avenue.

4:24 p.m. Police took a walk-in report of unarmed robbery.

Arrests:

Shannon L. O'Hare, of 27 Pike Street, Salisbury, was arrested on the basis of a warrant out of Chelmsford, and will also be charged with armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Lindsey E. Weiss, of 113 Wapiti Loop, Hyrum, UT, will be charged with OUI, driving negligently to endanger and illegal possession of a Class C substance.
