The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Monday and Tuesday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
Monday, November 26
7:01 p.m. Police took a walk-in report of identity theft.
9:22 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight on Margin Street near High Street. Upon arrival, two parties were sent on their way after a verbal argument.
Tuesday, November 27
12:12 a.m. A male party was placed into protective custody on the corner of Norman Street and Washington Street after he was found to be intoxicated and engaged in an argument with a female party.
10:05 a.m. Police responded to a keep the peace on Swampscott Road assisting the Department of Industrial Accidents.
11:28 a.m. Police took a report of a hit-and-run in the Target parking lot on Highland Avenue.
1:01 p.m. A woman on Salem Street reports that parties have been coming to her apartment at all hours of the night banging on the door. She states she has not answered. Advised to call if parties return.
2:05 p.m. A male party reported a backpack stolen from the YMCA on Sewall Street.
2:27 p.m. Police responded to a report of a male party on a computer in a truck at Mansell's Park. The man told police he was waiting for someone named "Mario" who had some items for him. When asked what, he responded cigarettes and other stuff. He was advised to have his friend meet him at home.
Maslin Alincy, of 285 Green Street, Brockton, was arrested on the basis of a warrant.
