Salem police log, Dec. 2-3

The following was taken from the Salem Police Department logs for Sunday and Monday. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

Sunday, December 2

4:07 p.m. Police responded to a report of simple assault on First Street.

4:54 p.m. Police responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle on Monroe Street.

5:17 p.m. Police responded to a report of burglary to a residence on Sutton Terrace.

7:33 p.m. Sewage was reported washing up from a manhole on Sable Road.

10:17 p.m. Police responded to a report of a disturbance on Palmer Street. Clear, no disturbance, all quiet.

Monday, December 3

12:04 p.m. Police responded to a report of a past road rage incident on Buffum Street.

9:21 a.m. Police responded to a report of graffiti on the front of a building on Hanson Street.

9:54 a.m. Police responded to a report of larceny on Canal Street. Party reports that sometime over the weekend, four tires and rims were stolen off of a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer. The car was for sale. Tires valued at $400, and rims at $600. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

10:29 a.m. Police responded to a report of a past hit-and-run on Winter Island Road.

Arrests:

Jeffrey J. Alexander, of 116 Lafayette Street, will be charged with trespassing.

John R. Everett, of 97 Webb Street, will be charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to stop for a school bus.
