Salem Theatre Company announces audtions for SPLIT...Tales of Escape

Salem Theatre Company announces auditions for its fourth Main Stage production of its Tenth Anniversary Season – the New England Premiere of Nikole Beckwith’s SPLIT – Tales of Escape.  SPLIT will have 15 performances in the STC Theater – 90 Lafayette Street in Salem, from March 21 – April 13, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m.  Christopher Martel will direct the production of one-act plays which includes Play for an All White Stage, Stuck in a Cave, Dig Dig Dig, and Holiday Play.

Ms. Beckwith is a winner of the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, awarded by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is currently in residence with London's National Theatre Studio where she is the first non-UK playwright to be given a writing attachment there.

Salem Theatre Company is looking for a diverse cast consisting of men and woman ranging in age from teens to 50’s.

Auditions will be held Saturday, February 16 - Group One:  3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Group Two: 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.   Sunday, February 17 - Group Three: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Group Four: 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  Those wishing to audition are asked to e-mail their headshot, resume and preferred audition group number to info@salemtheatre.com, to prepare one one-minute monologue of your choice and may be asked to read from the script.
