Salem Theatre Company to hold auditions for Edward Albee's "A Delicate Balance"

The following was submitted by the Salem Theatre Company:

Salem Theatre Company announces auditions for its fifth and final Main Stage production of its Tenth Anniversary Season Edward Albee’s A Delicate Balance to be directed by STC Artistic Director John Fogle.

A Delicate Balance will have 15 performances in the STC Theater – 90 Lafayette Street in Salem, from May 9 – June 1, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m.

Auditions will be held in six one hour time slots on March 3, 4 & 5. Group One: Sunday March 3 at 7:00 p.m. Group Two: Sunday March 3 at 8:00 p.m. Group Three: Monday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. Group Four: Monday, March 4 at 8:00 p.m. Group Five: Tuesday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m. Group Six: Tuesday, March 5 at 8:00 p.m.

Those wishing to audition are asked to e-mail their headshot, resume and preferred audition time to info@salemtheatre.com. Please prepare a one to two minute dramatic monologue.

Roles to be filled include:

Tobias (50’s-60’s) - A well-to-do, retired businessman - tolerant but tight. 
Agnes (50’s-60’s) - Tobias' wife, she is proper, tidy, a peace-keeper.
Claire (40’s-50’s) - Agnes’s younger sister, she is a sharp-tongued "willful drinker." 
Harry (50’s-60’s) - Tobias’s best friend, he is also retired and very much "at sea." 
Edna (50’s-60’s) - Harry’s wife, she is entitled, imposing.
