A Scituate teen is in critical condition after being flown to Brigham and Women’s hospital on Sunday with serious injuries after allegedly crashing his car into a Scituate house.

According to police, Daniel P. Sheehan, 18, of Scituate, was driving a 1997 Chevy Lumina northbound on Oceanside Drive when he allegedly crashed into a corner house at 12:17 a.m., severely injuring himself and also injuring a passenger in his car.

Sheehan will be charged with operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation.

The passenger was taken to South Shore hospital and later released.

The house sustained considerable damage, police said, and part of the foundation in the living room and kitchen had been knocked in due to the crash.

No one in the residence was hurt, however the woman has subsequently moved out of the home for the time being, police said.

Sheehan is currently listed as in critical condition in the neuro intensive care unit at Brigham and Women's.
