Information sessions set for Scituate affordable housing lottery

Ths Scituate Affordable Housing Trust announced there will be two public meetings in November to provide information about the upcoming lottery to purchase four condominium units at below-market prices.

The first meeting will be held Nov. 7 at the GAR Hall, 353 Country Way, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The second will be on Nov. 10 at the Scituate Town Library from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Applications for the lottery will be due by noon on Nov. 26. The housing trust urges people interested in applying for the lottery to attend an information session, but it is not required.

The selling price for the four units will range from $169,700 to $188,500. Each unit will have three bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. Two of the units have been built, at 20 Carrie Litchfield Lane and 11 Nelson Rd., and the other two units will be built on Stockbridge Rd.

To be elibigle for the lottery, applicants must not exceed certain income and asset levels. Those limits and other details are spelled out in this information package.
