Scituate police arrested a Weymouth woman after she was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

Scituate Police said that an officer was on a routine patrol when he encountered a disabled car pulled off to the side of the road.

The car, parked on the sidewalk with the engine running, had some damage to the tire and the rim, with the tire split in half. There were also scraps down the driver’s side of the car.

According to police, the officer spoke with the driver and had her perform several field sobriety tests.

Heather Saccone, 37, from Weymouth was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating to endanger, and a marked lanes violation.

Police said they found a nearby damaged tree that they believe the suspect struck with her car.
