The Sherborn Community Foundation urges residents to donate non-perishable foods on Election Day, Nov. 6 at Sherborn Town Hall.

The foundation's student directors, Jake Frankenfield and Thom Littlejohn, will run their second Election Day Food Drive to benefit "A Place to Turn," Natick's emergency food pantry, which is "in dire need of your help," according to a press release from the foundation.

"A Place to Turn" feeds approximately 8,000 Sherborn residents, mostly children, annually, the press release states, and the current economic status continues to leave many people without jobs and making too little money to support and feed their families.

With the holiday season rapidly approaching and the need to fill the cupboards of the food pantry, the students decided to take action again and join forces with the Sherborn Town Clerk's office to host the food drive.

"Our neighbors are hungry," said Frankenfield. "We need to feed them."

Littlejohn added, "If we all bring even a couple of food items on Election Day, we will have made a significant contribution."

The drive will take place on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Sherborn Town Hall from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
