Out-of-towners claimed the spotlight in last week's arrest log, except for incidents of alleged stalking and arson.

Jacqueline Faria, 40, of 14 Stone Ave., was arrested on Thursday morning on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon; stalking; witness intimidation; and violating an abuse prevention order.

A Somerville juvenile was arrested on Friday afternoon on Memorial Road on charges of attempting to start a fire in a building, as well as burning personal property.

Marcilio Malvar, 39, of Woburn, was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Police booked Maria Garcia Mendez, 33, and Alicia Rivera, 28, both of Lynn, on Saturday night on Ellsworth Street on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Also last week, police nabbed three suspects for allegedly violating drug laws near schools. Officers arrested Thomas Sheehan, 50, of Everett, last Tuesday on charges of drug possession with intent to distribute, possession of a dangerous weapon, and the school offense.

Police booked Carlos Ortiz, 35, of Providence, on Thursday afternoon on charges of trafficking heroin and cocaine; breaking and entering; and the school charge.

Officers arrested Jose DaSilva, 34, of 9 Pearl St on Thursday night on two counts of the school violation, two counts of drug possession with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
