Somerville's Curtatone triumphs again in WFNX song contest

Somerville Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone bested Mayor Dan Rizzo of Revere this morning in the weekly WFNX "My Song is Better Than Your Song" competition.

Curtatone's selection, "Steady as She Goes," from the 2006 album by The Raconteurs, took top honors.

Rizzo, who chose "Rockaway Beach" by The Ramones, wasn't even close.

"We stopped counting when Somerville had 160, and Revere had maybe 20," said WFNX's Henry Santoro."Somerville took 'em to the woodshed."

Last week Curtatone knocked out Mayor Rob Dolan of Melrose to secure the municipal bragging rights. Curtatone will take on the Mayor of Amesbury next Thursday.
