More victory spoils for Somerville's Joe Curtatone.

Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and his selection of The Clash track "Should I Stay or Should I Go" led him to a seventh straight WFNX contest victory.

Newburyport Mayor Donna Holaday, revealing her familial leanings, pitted a song by her bassist husband, Joe, against a Clash classic in Thursday's round of "My Song is Better Than Your Song" on WFNX.

Holaday selected "It's a Night for Beautiful Girls" by her husband's band, the Ipswich-based The Fools, which peaked in the '80s and early '90s.

The contest of mayoral musical might has been dominated by Curtatone, who won six previous Thursday morning contests.

The voting was deeply slanted, the WFNX hosts said. Curtatone pulled in about five times more listener nods, setting the stage for a mayoral run-off in two weeks between Curtatone and Melrose Mayor Robert Dolan.
