Winter Hill Citizens Bank robbed in Somerville

The Citizens Bank in Winter Hill was robbed Monday morning by a man who passed a note to a teller and fled in a vehicle, police said.

The suspect, described as in his late 20s or early 30s, entered the bank at 338 Broadway at about 11 a.m., handed over a note demanding cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The suspect is believed to have fled in a vehicle, but police said they do not know what type, or which direction he headed.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Somerville Police at 617-625-1212.
