Members of the Somerville Board of Aldermen will pick up their review of a proposed ban on polystyrene containers Thursday.

The board's legislative matters committee agreed to table the proposed ban of polystyrene cups and containers at restaurants and take-out food establishments on March 13 to allow the city to review the economic impact of such a ban.

The committee is slated to resume its review of the ordinance in a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Somerville City Hall. They'll also review comments from 65 residents and Dart Corporation, a manufacturer and distributor of polystyrene containers.
