A new rock climbing center in Somerville is slated to hold a grand opening party at the end of the month.
Brooklyn Boulders Somerville, a 38,000 square foot facility at 12A Tyler Street, is poised to hold a grand opening on July 31, according to records from the city. Along with rock climbing walls, the converted industrial space includes exercise equipment and meeting and class space, according to the Brooklyn Boulders Somerville website.
The gym has been open to a limited number of members since June. The company also operates a rock climbing center in Brooklyn.
It follows the opening of a rock climbing center in Watertown, Central Rock Climbing Centers.
