State and local officials are expected to release new information Monday afternoon on five recent suspicious early-morning fires in Somerville.
A total of eight morning house fires have broken out in the city since June 27. Three have been labelled accidental, but the other five have been under investigation by a team including local investigators and the state fire marshal's office.
Among the suspicious fires was a seven-alarm fire on Calvin Street that left about 45 people without a home.
Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone and Fire Chief Kevin Kelleher are expected to release new information on the fires in a press conference 2 p.m. Monday at the city's public safety building, 220 Washington St.
