There will be fun activities to include jump roping, dancing and a chance to win free prizes and raffle prizes.
“This community health fair will bring multiple health provider agencies together and provide the community an opportunity to learn about specific services they offer at little to no cost.” said Franklin Dalembert, Executive Director of the Haitian Coalition of Somerville, MA.
Introduced by the Haitian Coalition of Somerville in 2012, The Somerville Community Health Fair brings together programs and health service providers to deliver a wide range of services at no cost to residents of Somerville and surrounding communities. The Somerville Community Health Fair committee has been able to forge partnerships with various service providers from across the state of Massachusetts. Our goal is to continue the collaborative efforts by engaging members across all sectors to help sustain the cause.
“This event brings together our diverse community to celebrate a healthy Somerville. It demonstrates how so many programs and organizations in Somerville successfully work together to increase access to services for all residents."
Wayside Youth and Family Support Network Inc, Cambridge Health Alliance, Committee on Refugees from El Salvador (CORES), Haitian Coalition, Immigrant Service Providers Group [ISPG/H], Pale Now, Shape Up Somerville, www.guerlince.com, The Somerville Public Health Department and the Welcome Project work together to create a healthy community and are the organizing partners of this year's health fair to make Somerville a healthier place to live.
