The following was submitted by the Tufts University Department of Music:  

The Tufts University Department of Music presents Stretching Our Ears: New Sounds 1905–1942, a performance by the Tufts Wind Ensemble under the direction of John McCann, in the Distler Performance Hall at the Perry and Marty Granoff Music Center on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 3 p.m. as part of the Sunday at Tufts-Community Concert Series. The Tufts Wind Ensemble performs music by Schoenberg, Stravinsky, Barber, Ives, and Gershwin through an exploration of new vocabularies and tonal organizations.
