After the raunchy parody video "The Real Housewives of South Boston" went viral recently, many in the community were looking for ways to paint neighborhood women in a more positive light.

Doron Ofir Casting might just have the ticket: It has put out a call for women to be part of a proposed television show called "Southies."

On its website, the casting company said it was seeking women who are “proud of your hometown, your neighborhood, and its history. You believe in God, family and the Red Sox.”

The website said the show is looking for those between the ages of 21-35, who represent the “blue collar, hardworking, harder partying, tough talking, damn good looking, wise-cracking, sexy Southies.”

The show will be a "docu-series" produced by a major television network, said Dani Maule, an associate with Popular Productions, the parent company of Doron Ofir Casting.

The aim of the show is to look at “what everday life is like living in Boston,” Maule said. “The show is about celebrating friendships.”

Maule said casting for the un-scripted show should begin in about two weeks.
