Four new businesses moving to South Boston's Innovation District

New businesses will soon be coming to South Boston's bustling "Innovation District".

Meritage Properties LLC recently announced that it has executed four leases for space at its Tower Point property on A Street.

The four companies, Boston Plan for Excellence, Guaranteed Rate, Zerto and the Bennett Group, will take up nearly 22,000 square-feet of the six-story building across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

"Adding these four firms to our building is a direct reflection of the desirability of the South Boston Waterfront and our property," said Erin Shaw, who oversees the Boston region for Meritage Properties in a statement.

According to Meritage Properties 65-percent of its Tower Point property has been leased.
