Mayor to hold 'coffee hour' Friday at Medal of Honor Park

South Boston residents are invited to join Mayor Thomas M. Menino at his annual coffee hour on Friday, June 8.

Held in Medal of Honor Park on East Broadway, the event gives residents a chance to speak with the mayor about park improvements, open space concerns, and improvements to other public areas.

A suggestion box will also be available. Refreshments will be served and atendees will also receive a flowering plant grown in the city’s greenhouses.

The event begins at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to last for about an hour.
