South Boston physician Cory M. Edgar will bring his medical expertise to the Boston Medical Center.
In joining the medical center, the orthopedic surgeon will also help mold the next generation of doctors, serving as an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the Boston University School of Medicine and a physician for Boston University Athletics.
The Boston University School of Medicine graduate specializes in stem cell research with a concentration on sports injuries and the use of regenerative medicine in sports medicine, Boston Medical Center said in a release.
Edgar is based out of BMC's Shapiro Ambulatory Care Center and Boston University’s Ryan Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
