South Boston continues to experience an influx of new restaurants, as the Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant officially opened its doors to customers Monday night.

Part of the Eat Drink Laugh Restaurant Group, which owns Paramount on East Broadway and a number of other well-known Boston pubs and restaurants, the new establishment at 425 West Broadway fills in a previously vacant space and adds to the area’s offerings that include The Junction and Stats Bar and Grille.

Featuring a wood-burning grill, the restaurant aims to create a laid back, at-home feel, with booths and classic American dishes.

The hours of the new restaurant will be from 5 p.m. – 2 a.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. – 2 a.m. Saturday through Sunday, according to its website.

Nicholas Dixon, formally of Beacon Hill’s Harvard Gardens, will head up the restaurant’s kitchen staff, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

Both East and West Broadway have seen a resurgence of foodie establishments, from Stephanie’s plan to move into a development on West Broadway, to the recent opening of Tasty Burger on L Street and East Broadway.
