With the demise of the South Boston Tribune a new paper has sprung up in South Boston, headed by former Tribune staff.

South Boston Today, which according to an email distributed by its publisher John Ciccone will be available both online and in paper form, launched last week.

Headed by Ciccone, a former Tribune reporter and edited by Brian Mahoney, another Tribune columnist, the paper will be distributed on Thursdays.

Ciccone declined to comment for this story.

According to an email from Ciccone, South Boston Today aims to, “bring you up to date and accurate news about South Boston and beyond and to be a forum and voice for the entire community.”
