Representatives from the city’s Department of Neighborhood Development will be in South Boston Thursday to talk about the reuse of a former Public Works site in the neighborhood.

The city department will hold a community meeting for residents Thursday, Apr. 4, at the Condon School at 200 D St. starting at 6:30 p.m.

The department will use the meeting as an opportunity to gather feedback from community members about what they would like to see the lots, located at 174 West Second St. and 175-179 West First St., used for.

Eventually gathered comments will be used by the department to develop a Request for Proposal for the possible sale of the sites.

The two lots, which connect in the rear, combine to make a 16,500-square-foot parcel, according the they city’s Assessing Department.

The West First Street lot is currently vacant and the West Second Street lot is currently home to a small single-story industrial building.
