Excel High School looks to raise money for visual arts classes

Excel High School in South Boston wants to bring more art into its classrooms.

The Boston Public School, located on G Street, will hold a fundraiser Thursday, April 11, at the Artists for Humanity’s studio on West 2nd Street, to help raise money to support more art focused classes at the college-predatory school.

A release from the school cited the positive impacts more visual art classes could have on its students.

The gala event, which will feature appetizers, live entertainment, music, a raffle, silent auction, and a cash bar, will run from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
