The South End will be the new headquarters of the e-commerce solution provider Blueport Commerce. In a press release today, the company said it will be relocating to a 12,000-square-foot office at 580 Harrison Ave.

"We were looking for a space that could meet our growing needs as a company and a location with a wealth of amenities for our team members, clients and visitors. 580 Harrison met all of these needs and more -- we could not be more thrilled,” Carl Prindle, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

The company will bring all 28 of its employees with it to the new South End location and is also planning on hiring nearly 30 more employees, according to Morgan Woodruff, Chief Operation Officer for Blueport.

“We essentially are doubling our space from our old office and we do plan for an additional employees build up,” Woodruff said.

Blueport, previoiusly based in Waltham, specializes in e-commerce solutions for retail stores that sell "big ticket" products such as appliances and furniture.

The move will be completed by Sept 12, according to a Woodruff.
