Seven South End restaurants featured in Boston Magazine's 50 Best Restaurants issue

Seven South End restaurants were recently included in Boston Magazine’s 50 Top Restaurants issue.

The annual November issue, by the Boston based source for news and culture around the city, visited hundreds of restaurants judging both the old and the new, the hip and the classic.

Seven South End restaurants were recently included in Boston Magazine’s 50 Top Restaurants issue. Boston Globe, 10:18 a.m.
“It’s very exciting for us. All of our employees are very proud. We have a great team,” said Ting Yen, the owner of the five year-old Sushi establishment Oishii.

Along with Oishii, Toro, Myers + Chang, The Butcher Shop, Hamersley’s, Coppa and The Gallows all made it in the top 50.

“We are totally psyched. It’s an absolute honor,” said Rebecca Roth, owner of the year-and a-half-old Gallows.

Roth attributed the restaurant's place on the list to the staff and the restaurant’s generally jubilant feel.

“We have an unbelievable staff that care so much about what we do and we just have fun here,” she said.
