“It is no secret, judging from the thousands of votes cast, that this contest really enlivens our neighborhood business districts during the holiday season,” Menino said n a statement. “We want residents to remember that our Main Street Districts have some of the most unique gifts and dining options in the City of Boston.”
Although Teranga, which is going into its third year in its South End space, may have not taken home the gold, owner Chantal Rousse said she is still happy and thinks it was the tastefulness of decorations that really got the Senegalese restaurant noticed.
