A rendering of the six-story building that could soon be built on Tremont Street.
Developers of the six-story mixed-use building on the corner of Tremont Street and Dwight Street in the South End have released the much-anticipated rendering of the proposed structure.
The building, which would feature five floors of condos atop retail space on the ground level, would replace the one-story "Old Dutch Candy Shop" currently on the site. Residential units are approximately 2,500-square-feet.
Parking would be underground and the garage will hold five parking spaces.
According to Pamela Holian, the list agent, two units have already been pre-sold.
The building was designed by Guy Grassi of Grassi Design Group and Peter Georgantas of Peg Properties is the developer.
At a meeting before the Eight Streets Neighborhood Association last week, Georgantas said he would like to start construction by the summer and it should take about 12 – 13 months to be complete.
Before any work takes place though, Georgantas and his team must appear before the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals and the Landmarks Commission.
The location for the proposed building is the corner of Tremont Street and Dwight Street in the South End.
