The Blackstone/Franklin Square Neighborhood Association is offering scholarships to young South End residents headed to college.
The association is accepting applications for three scholarships from graduating high school seniors who live in the South End and are enrolling in a two- or four-year college.
The scholarships are designed to help students cover the cost of educational supplies such as books, computers, and other learning aids, and cannot be used towards tuition.
Of th three scholarships are being offered this year two are for $1,000 and one, the A. Parthum Award for Service, is $2,500.
Applications are available online and must be postmarked by April 15.
