Budding artists have a chance to paint scenes from parks across Boston as the Boston Parks and Recreation Department hosts its ParkARTS Watercolor Painting Workshops through September.
The Parks Department’s popular fall series will host hands-on watercolor painting workshops at four locations on Saturdays and Sundays.
Local artists will instruct aspiring artists of all skill levels to help them capture the city’s historic parks. The workshops are open to anyone nine years old and up.
The series of workshops is part of the 17th annual ParkARTS program sponsored by Bank of America. Blick Art Materials provides materials for the free workshops.
All classes are held weather permitting from 12 to 2 p.m. Dates and locations are as follows:
Millennium Park, 300 Gardner Street, West Roxbury
Saturdays, September 7 and 14
Victory Garden, 20 Park Drive, Back Bay Fens
