Animal lovers united at Subaru of Wakefield on December 14th for the fifth annual Share the Love campaign and celebration. The event raised over $2,500 for Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society, Inc. (PAWS) and 15 adorable kitties were adopted into loving homes as a result of the event.
Those in the market for a new car can still lease or purchase a car at Subaru of Wakefield and choose PAWS as their charity. For every car leased or purchased at through January 2, 2014, Subaru will donate $250 to the one of six charities, as specified by the new car owner. PAWS is the only Wakefield-based charity involved with this special promotion.
PAWS is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization serving numerous communities north of Boston. Founded in Wakefield in 1982 by Esther Nowell, the charity’s mission is to promote and protect the rights and well-being of all domestic animals and wildlife, and foster greater understanding of animal welfare and animal rights through education.
