Special education parent council holds year-end ceremony
The Waltham Special Education Parent Advisory Council recently held its first year-end award ceremony at the Arthur J. Clarke Government Center. More than 100 people attended—everyone from parents and students to teachers, administrators and even the mayor.
The award ceremony included the “Kelly Beaumont Mazzarini Inclusion Award,” given to the Stanley Elementary School’s program for children with Pervasive Developmental Disorder. The award recognizes the program’s 10th year of service to children with social and developmental delays, and is named in honor of Kelly Beaumont Mazzarini, a former educator and advocate for children with special needs.
Below are some pictures of the event, submitted by the council’s secretary, Amy DiMatteo.
