The city of Waltham will hold elections today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for mayor, city councilors, and School Committee members.

Incumbent Mayor Jeannette McCarthy will vie for a third term against 22-year-old Andrew Wirth, an area college student also known for breaking the Guinness record for spinning a book on his finger.

In questionnaires each candidate submitted to Boston.com, McCarthy said the city should focus on solving infrastructure issues next term, while Wirth said establishing government transparency would be tantamount.

Meanwhile, all six councilor-at-large incumbents will run against three fresh faces. Ward 5 and Ward 8 incumbents will also both have one competitor in tomorrow's race.

Six candidates, including two incumbents, are running for three open spots on the School Committee.

Polling places vary by district and can be viewed on Waltham’s official website.
