Mount Auburn Hospital is accepting reservations for a free eight-week course tailored to the elderly and other residents who are concerned about falling.

The course, titled "A Matter of Balance," will meet once a week on Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. starting March 1 at the hospital's Waltham branch, located at 355 Waverly Oaks Rd. There is free parking on site.

Participants will learn practical strategies to manage falls and how to set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Classes are free, but space is limited.
