Waltham Police Det. Sgt. Tim King said police have found missing Waltham resident Lena Doung, 25, and her two-year-old daughter, Chloe, although he could not release information about how, when, or where the pair was located.

"The mother and daughter were both located, are safe, and in good condition," King said in an email.

Police sought out the public's help this week after the mother and daughter disappeared May 2 after last being seen in downtown Boston, King previously said.

Information had led police to believe that the pair were in the New York/New Jersey area, King had said, and might have been traveling by bus or train.

Police applied for the case to be considered an Amber Alert, but the case did not qualify, King said.
