Mt. Auburn Hospital announces Leap Year babies for 2012

Three babies were born at the Mount Auburn Hospital today, a date that only rolls around once every four years.

Haley Byron, daughter of Jacquelyn and Keith of Windham, NH, was born at 1 a.m. on the dot and weighed seven pounds, six ounces.

Regan Nitchie, daughter of Nicole and Chris of Medford, was born at 7:28 a.m. and weighed six pounds even.

Helena Druecke, daughter of Sarah and Ben of Cambridge, was born at 9:53 a.m. and weighed seven pounds, six-and-a-half ounces.

The babies were cared for at The Bain Birthing Center in the hospital.

Earlier this month, the hospital's midwives celebrated their 9,000 birth: Emma Chen of Quincy.
