A Watertown man was arrested last week after he allegedly tried to sell drugs to an undercover Watertown police officer.

Scott Watts, 40, of Oakland Street in Watertown, had posted several advertisements on Craigslist offering to trade Adderall, a prescription drug used to treat symptoms of ADHD, for a chance to "party with females," said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

After the police department received complaints about the ads, officials responded via Craigslist and arranged to set up a meeting between Watts and a female undercover detective in the Starbucks parking lot on Mount Auburn Street, Lawn said.

The two met just after 1 p.m. on Oct. 31, and Watts allegedly poured about 15 Adderall pills into the detective's hand, Lawn said.

Watts was placed under arrest and charged with distribution of a Class B substance, Lawn said.
