A Watertown man has been arrested after he allegedly traded a bag of fake marijuana for a television, according to authorities.

Daniel Riley, 19, allegedly sold marijuana to a group home resident in exchange for a television set from the facility, said Lieutenant Michael Lawn, a Watertown police spokesman.

Later, the marijuana recipient learned that the bag was filled with oregano, and called authorities.

Riley was arrested and charged with counterfeit drug distribution, intimidating a witness, and receiving stolen property over $250, Lawn said.
