For those who made a resolution to quit smoking this year, Mount Auburn Hospital is offering a free six-week program on how to kick the unhealthy habit.

The series, "Steps to Quit,” will be taught by a smoking treatment specialist. Participants will learn how to deal with nicotine withdrawal, and also learn new healthy behaviors, according to hospital representatives.

Classes will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday, beginning Jan. 9 through Feb. 13. The course will be taught at Mount Auburn Hospital, located at 330 Mount Auburn St. in Cambridge. There is free parking on site.

The class is free, but space is limited. For more information or to register, call Mount Auburn Hospital at 617-499-5625.
