Watertown public schools have cancelled class district wide Friday in preparation for the impending blizzard slated to pound the state, according to the school district's website.

National Weather Service forecasters are predicting that the storm could drop two to three feet of snow with winds gusting up to 65 miles per hour.

Travel is expected to become nearly impossible by the Friday evening commute and the storm is expected to last into Saturday.
