Mount Auburn Hospital will hold a free six-week program, starting this month, for individuals who must provide care for a relative or friend this spring.

The program, which will be held Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. beginning March 18, will help individuals who are caregivers to also help take care of themselves. The course will emphasize strategies to reduce stress, guilt, anger, and depression, and also learn ways to effectively communicate with other family members and doctors.

The program meets at Mount Auburn Hospital, located at 330 Mount Auburn St. in Cambridge. While classes (and parking) are free, space is limited, so participants are encouraged to sign up in advance.

For more information or to register, call the Mount Auburn Hospital at 617-499-5625.
