The Watertown Senior Center will host a day-long trip this month that takes older citizens on a New Hampshire garden tour, and then whisks attendees off for a seafood meal and shopping in Maine.

The trip will take place Thursday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and costs $61, which includes transportation and tip for the driver, admission to the gardens, lunch, and a coupon book to the Kittery Outlets.

The trip starts at Fuller Gardens in North Hampton, N.H., a turn-of-the-century estate garden featuring 2,000 rose bushes, a Japanese garden, and a variety of perennials that bloom throughout the season.

Then, garden-lovers will travel to a Weathervane Seafood Restaurant in Maine, where attendees have a choice of a fried seafood platter, baked stuffed haddock, or sirloin steak for lunch.

The outing will end with an afternoon of shopping at the Kittery Outlets in Maine, which features over 120 name-brand shops.

For more information or to sign up for the trip, visit the senior center at 31 Marshall St. or call 617-972-6490.
