Watertown planning officials are inviting residents to attend the latest meeting in a slate of public forums to discuss drafting and implementing Watertown's comprehensive plan.

The plan will outline the town’s vision for growth over the next 10 to 20 years, and is the first of its kind in Watertown in 25 years, officials said.

The next forum is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Watertown Middle School auditorium and cafeteria.

At the upcoming meeting, officials hope to use resident's opinions from the past few months and draft their visions into a concrete plan. Officials will also discuss how they should implement the plan, and how to make priorities and choices when drafting it to make sure it stays sustainable for 20 years.

There will light refreshments provided at the meeting.

For more information contact Steve Magoon at smagoon@watertown-ma.gov, or Gideon Schreiber at gschreiber@watertown-ma.gov. Both can also be reached at 617-972-6417.

There is also more information on Watertown's official website.

Residents can also view the project website, or express their opinions online.
