The Patriots' charitable foundation will donate $1,000 to Watertown High School’s football program in Cacace’s name in recognition of his designation.

The football coach was rewarded in recognition of his team’s 31-22 playoff victory over Triton Regional High School last Friday, where the Raiders came back from trailing their opponents 15-14 in the first three quarters to score 17 points in the final frame.

Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett visited the Watertown team on Wednesday at Watertown High School.

"Watertown High School showed great mental toughness by erasing a fourth-quarter deficit against a talented Triton team to earn the first playoff victory in the history of their program," Tippett said in a statement. "This was a historic win for the Raiders.”

The visit and check presentation will be featured on the Patriots weekly television magazine show, “Patriots All Access,” which airs at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, on WBZ-TV in Boston. It will also be available immediately after on Patriots.com.

The Patriots have been honoring high school coaches weekly for the past 18 years, partnering with the NFL to recognize exemplary coaches and promote youth football.

At the conclusion of the season, one high school coach will be named the New England Patriots Coach of the Year and will receive an additional $2,000 contribution toward the school’s football program.

Anyone who knows a high school football coach in New England who has a great week or reaches a personal career milestone is encouraged to submit a nomination to the Patriots at nominatecoach@patriots.com.
