Babson students start fall semester in Russia

A group of students from Babson College will start their fall semester in Russia as part of the college’s new overseas program. The program, which is open to undergrads, will focus on the cultural, economical, historical and political facets of the Brazil, Russia, India and China — the so-called BRIC countries.

The course, "BRICs: The Cornerstone of the New Global Economy," will be a hands-on learning experiences as the students will meet local experts and explore various industries to learn first-hand how the economies of these countries are changing on the global landscape.

The countries chosen for the program contain more than 25 percent of the world’s land, 40 percent of its population, 15 percent of the world’s economy and 40 percent of the global currency reserves, according to a statement by Babson College.

The students will be visiting two of the four countries, after Russian the students will travel to China. The program is staffed by Babson professors.
