Wellesley residents, get your taste buds ready, there is a new restaurant in town.
Singh’s Café, offering Indian cuisine, will open Monday at 312 Washington Street.
The restaurant, which will employ 10 to 12 people, is in the space formerly occupied by the Italian restaurant Vela. Manager Kiran Khadka said he is very excited to open following two and a half months of renovations.
“A lot of people have been e-mailing us and they are excited,” said owner Harpreet Singh. Singh also owns The Kebab Factory on Washington Street in Somerville.
Inside the restaurant, the walls are painted a soft yellow with orange and blue trim. All the pictures, painting and statues are from India, said Singh.
Singh and Khadka said the lack of Indian cuisine in Wellesley was the reason behind opening
Singh’s Café.
Singh’s Café is open Monday-Sunday, 11:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Lunch buffet hours are 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Brunch is offered Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
