College police chief's car found in Boston
A cruiser stolen from the Wellesley College police chief last week has been located in Boston's South End, Boston police said today.
The unmarked, dark-colored, 2008 Ford sedan was found about 2 p.m. Sunday on East Brookline Street. The vehicle was stolen Nov. 25 from outside the home of Wellesley College police chief Lisa J. Barbin.
Somebody broke into Barbin’s house, a mile or two off campus, taking her cellphone, some cash, and her keys, said college spokeswoman Elizabeth Gildersleeve.
Barbin, her son, and her visiting brother were at home at the time of the break-in, but slept through the incident, Gildersleeve said.
The incident is still under investigation by the Wellesley Police Department.
