Author, award-winning journalist and Wellesley College alumnae, Lynn Sherr is returning to campus as the commencement speaker for the class of 2010.

Sherr, a Greek major, graduated in 1963. She was a correspondent with ABC News' 20/20, covering women's issues, national politics and NASA Space Shuttle missions.

Her memoir, Outside the Box, detailed how she used her education at Wellesley in her career. She also penned several other books Failure is Impossible: Susan B. Anthony in Her Own Words, America the Beautiful: The Stirring True Story Behind Our Nation’s Favorite Song and Tall Blondes.

"We thought Lynn Sherr would be a great speaker at commencement not only because of her many accomplishments, but also because we found her love and devotion to Wellesley College absolutely inspiring and heartwarming," said Rosa Hu, Wellesley senior class president, in a statement released by Wellesley College.

Commencement is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on May 28.
